A Gem of a Song

A friend shared this song to me today.

You know how it is when people hear traditional Filipino songs, they think "boring, ho-hum, something from a school program, etc". Well I suppose this one could probably be one of those too. It's just that I love how this song makes me feel like I'm flying. Such a nice song...

Decisions, Decisions...

I've been writing about some pretty heavy stuff for the past couple of weeks and while it felt pretty good to be able to let them all out, I personally don't wanna dwell on them for far too long. I may have an emo self but my relaxed self is where I'm really more comfortable in.

So ok then, let's shift gears and talk about something lighter this time -- making a choice between random pairs of random stuff.

Cake vs Pie Pie
I'm sorry Mr. Cake but I just find Mr. Pie to be a healthier option. Also, whenever I eat cake, there always seem to be treshold point where you just feel sick if you eat anything more. I don't get the same thing with pie. Also, you can eat pie either hot or cold. I can't imagine myself eating a hot cake. Unless we're talking about pancakes...

Ugly but Wealthy vs Beautiful but Poor Beautiful but Poor
I don't find wealth and money attractive, they don't excite me at all. And I don't feel like sleeping with someone butt ugly for the rest of my life.

Sex vs Food Food
Easy choice. If you're stranded alone on an island for forty days, you're not gonna die if you don't have sex, would you?

Rain vs Sunshine Rain
While I don't like getting myself wet when it's raining, I don't like it more when the sun's glaring hot and I'm sweating like crazy.

Morning vs Afternoon Morning
Afternoons make me sad. Mornings give me a feeling of hope. Getting some sunshine in the morning also feels a lot better than getting some in the afternoon. (See previous item)

Eat Favorite Portion First vs Last First
I don't get the idea of saving your favorite portion for last. What if someone decides to nab it? =O It also tastes a little hmm... awkward and incomplete if you eat it for last. If you eat it first, the taste of your favorite portion tends to blend with the rest of the food.

Mind-Numbing Movie vs Mind-Stimulating Mind-Numbing
All my favorite movies are the mind-stimulating types. But if I'm looking for entertainment, I'd rather watch the mind-numbing one to spare myself the headache.

Lights On vs Off On
While I like it if the room is dim, I tend to sometimes go into anxiety mode when deprived of my sense of sight. I don't like sleeping under the glare of a bright light either, but I'm quite thankful my room has night light and can still have a little light without seriously impacting the relaxing atmosphere.

Bring an Umbrella vs Don't Bring Don't Bring
I just don't like bringing them. Such a hassle and they ruin my sense of style (lol...) In any case, I seldom go out without a car.

Good News vs Bad News Bad News
Let's hear the bad news first and get it over with. What's the 'good news' anyway but just sugar coating for the bad news, right? =P

p.s. Coffee vs Tea Tea
Same relaxing feeling. Less heart palpitations. Japanese green tea for pure win.

The Dream... Again?

I had that recurring dream... again.

So once more, I found myself dragging my legs while walking to my destination, to someone's house this time. I reached it with no incident but then I found out that I've forgotten something from where I came from and had to drag myself back to get it.

So after getting it back and while I was on my way back, again walking in a dragging manner, I said to myself: This is bullshit, screw this!

So I decided to RUN instead.

And when I reached the house, it has mysteriously transformed into a luxury hotel. And I was like: woah. . .!

Lovers' Quarrel

A brief summary of how couples really argue.

Guy: Naiinis ka pa ba? (Are you still mad?)

Girl: Tingin mo? (What do you think?)

The Magic of Music

Mankind has always known that there is something magical in music. I have always wondered at this myself and for the longest time couldn't put my finger on it.

And so for a couple of days, I had been given the wonderful opportunity to do some musical arrangements which I found to be quite fun and really invigorating. I think I'm gonna turn this into my new hobby. Maybe I won't make a profit out of it yet (which I think would utterly destroy the beauty of it anyway). But who knows? For now, I just wanna have fun and relish the feeling of the moment.

It was while I was staring at the notes and the staves when the idea hit me: There I was, unknowingly setting sounds in motion within the framework of time undying. And akin to a painter; my notes are my colors, and time, represented by the usually taken-for-granted staves, is my very own canvas. No doubt they say music is an immortal thing.

Yes folks, I just had another WTF moment. And this one took twenty and more years in the making.
